Forest Green Rovers Supporters Trust is pleased to confirm that it has joined the Board of Forest Green Rovers Football Club.
Bob Savage, Trust Treasurer, received the nomination to represent the Trust on the Club Board and attended his first Club Board meeting on Thursday 11 June.
The appointment is a big step forward for the Trust and is also a massive vote of confidence in the Trust from the Club Board and reflects the positive work done by the Trust on behalf of the Club.
It will surely dispel any lingering doubts as to the intentions of the Supporters Trust. It exists to work with the Club and the Supporters Club, not against them.
The Trust has almost 150 members approaching the end of its first year of existence and many members have stepped forward to offer their services to the Trust and hence the Club, in what are difficult economic times.
The Trust hopes that more Rovers supporters will now join and work together to promote the aims of the Trust, not the least of which is to increase the support for the Club.
It is also expected that a positive statement will be forthcoming from the Club this summer regarding the change in constitution of the Club and the subsequent share issue.
If you would like to join the FGR Trust, see the join on-line page, or alternatively contact the Trust by post or pick up an application form from main reception at The New Lawn, Forest Green.
