Forest Green Rovers have announced they have now received formal approval to change the Football Club Constitution. As of 1st November 2009 the Club and all its attendant activities will transfer to a new Company limited by Shareholding ~ Forest Green Rovers Football Club Limited.
Control of the Club will move from the current Members, who have control of Club, to shareholders. The shareholders will elect a Board of Directors.
The Trust is now into its second year having called for an injection of funds, and new members, on at least two occasions previously when it looked as though the change was imminent.
Please join the Trust NOW. This time the call is for real, no hint of “crying wolf”. If you wish to invest in the Club but cannot afford the minimum investment of £250, then the Trust is for you.
Your £10 membership fee and any further donation that you can afford will go directly towards the acquisition of further shares while the share subscription is still open, and beyond.

The Trust will now move to invest a sum of £10,000 in the newly constituted company, including the £3,000 loaned to the club last autumn. In this way, the rank and file supporters of Forest Green Rovers will continue to have a holding in the Football Club.
We will look to build on this shareholding as further funds become available.
Everyone in the Trust is to be thanked for their patience; now we can all look forward to implementing our prime objective of acquiring and building a shareholding in the Club, as funds become available, on behalf of its supporters.
