The Trust's Business Community Officer, Richard Overthrow, has been writing a series of articles for the FGR matchday programmes on past players, specifically the 1998/9 squad who played in the first Conference season. A 'Where are they now?' type of series, it involved tracking down the former players and talking about their career and memories of playing at The Lawn. Several of the players said they hadn't been to the New Lawn, so for their benefit, and also to mark the tenth anniversary of Rovers' trip to Wembley for the FA Trophy final, in which most of them played, a reunion was organised for the Setanta Shield final on April 9th. Nine of the squad came along and were entertained in a hospitality box, enjoying a good view of the game and meeting up with old friends at the Club.

Prior to kick-off each was introduced to the crowd, stepping onto the pitch to take enthusiastic applause from the home fans. The lads also provided sign shirts and programmes to raise funds for the Trust through our eBay site.
