October 24th 2009
As of 1st November 2009 the Club and all its attendant activities will transfer to a new Company limited by Shareholding ~ Forest Green Rovers Football Club Limited.
Control of the Club will move from the current Members, who have control of Club, to shareholders. The shareholders will elect a Board of Directors.
At Thursday's Members meeting Phil Butterworth, The Supporters Trust Schools Liaison Officer, presented a cheque to Trevor Horsley for £7000, which with the £3000 already loaned to the Club last November will be converted into an initial shareholding of £10,000 next weekend.
The Trust is now into its second year having called for an injection of funds, and new members, on at least two occasions previously when it looked as though the Constitution change was imminent. Now it is finally happening.
If you wish to invest in the Club but cannot afford the minimum investment of £250, then the Trust is for you. More details of how the Trust works can be found at http://www.fgrtrust.com.
Your £10 membership fee and any further donation that you can afford will go directly towards the acquisition of further shares while the share subscription is still open, and beyond.
