Golf Professional Chips In

The FGR Supporters Trust was £400 to the good last night, thanks to the excellent efforts of member, Peter Dangerfield.
As previously reported, Peter is the Golf Professional at Minchinhampton Old Course and along with his colleague, Eve Clements, they were the driving force behind the recent and very successful inaugural Community Am-Am Golf Day. The kind donation was the Trust’s ‘slice of the cake’ from the day’s event, with Shortwood United FC and Minchinhampton Old Course Juniors benefitting similarly.
Bob Savage, Treasurer for the Trust was on hand at last night’s match against Kidderminster Harriers to receive the cheque from Peter.
Bob commented; ‘the Trust has come a long way in such a short time and it is with thanks to the generosity of people like Peter that the Trust is thriving and raising its profile in the Community. We look forward to a repeat of the success next year when hopefully Forest Green Rovers will have a greater representation.’
