The Trust has come about following an announcement from the club to work towards a change in constitution to that of a Company limited by shareholding. A fans' vote confirmed almost unanimous support for the formation of a Trust.

The key aim of the Trust is to purchase shares in the football club on behalf of Trust members and to give the ordinary supporter a stronger voice in the running of the club through share ownership and board representation. We also aim to help promote the club with a view to increasing the fan base and establishing the club at the heart of the Gloucestershire community.

A number of FGR fans provide a great service to the club by downloading, printing and distributing matchday posters around their community. This helps to spread the word and ultimately should increase attendance.
For the time being these posters are being hosted on the Trust website, and a new one is available every month.
